PCR film (post-consumer recycled film): Plastic film manufactured from post-consumer recycled plastic. If you claim a label is “recyclable,” you must confirm that the recycling infrastructure in the target market actually processes that material type. If you claim it is “biodegradable,” you must specify the decomposition conditions (industrial or natural, and the time frame) along with the corresponding certifications (EN 13432, ASTM D6400). If you use FSC paper, you must display the FSC certificate code on the product.
A responsible sustainable communication strategy also involves acknowledging limits: no label material is truly “fully green.” Every choice involves trade-offs between performance, cost, imagery, and real-world environmental impact.
